York 60 Vise Restoration
Check out my restoration of this little York 60 vise. This guy is quite small, with a jaw width of only 60mm (less than 2.5" wide). I intentionally left some patina on the exposed cast iron in order to keep the "Made in Czechoslovakia" and "Slovania" stamping. I also quite like the original machining marks and decided to leave those as well.
This York 60 vise was in good usable condition, but it needed some serious TLC. I cleaned off all the crud, grease, and dirt before stripping the old paint with a chemical paint stripper. I then used a drill and wire brush attachment to clean off some of the paint left in the nooks and crannies before finally painting the whole thing. I made sure to t...

Old Dining Table TRANSFORMED into Modern Side Table
Просмотров 3,7 тыс.3 года назад
We've had this hardwood dining table for years, it was painted at some point in its life and was looking pretty beat up. We recently decided to replace it but I didn't want to get rid of it, or at least not all of it. I saw some potential in the hardwood top and legs and I knew I could turn it into something much cooler. I took some inspiration from mid-century modern design and through that be...
Found in the Trash - Dresser Restoration
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.3 года назад
I found this dresser at the side of the road. It was in poor shape, with flaking finish, wobbly legs and failing joints. The whole thing was quite rough and needed some much needed TLC. I disassembled the entire dresser into it's individual pieces, removed all of the existing finish and gave every piece a thorough sanding. My restoration efforts uncovered a lovely solid hardwood dresser, which ...
153 LBS and RUSTED SOLID! Reed 206 Vise Restoration
Просмотров 56 тыс.3 года назад
I bought this Reed 206 vise from an older gentleman who was cleaning out his garage. I suspect the vise had been sitting on the floor for a very long time, or perhaps it was sitting in a wet field seeing as how rusty it was. The vise weighs 153 pounds, with 6" wide jaws. It's huge, and very heavy. It's far too big for what I need in my shop, but it's the perfect candidate for rust removal and a...
Repairing a cracked/stained butcher block top
Просмотров 21 тыс.3 года назад
A leaky potted plant damaged my Ikea butcher block STENSTORP cart, which caused a fairly significant crack and some dark staining. I repaired most of the stain by sanding with varying grits. I repaired the crack, which happened right on a glue joint, by cutting the entire length along the crack, which effectively removed it with one cut. I glued the two pieces back together and clamped it to dr...
Making my Essential Tool Belt
Просмотров 14 тыс.4 года назад
I've been searching for a specific tool belt in all the big box stores (and online) but I've always come up empty handed. I'm looking for a few important features; it has to be very low-profile with a handful of small/medium pockets, has to have a leather hammer loop, and most importantly a sturdy tape measure clip. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I had to modify one for myself. I started with...
York 100 Vise Restoration
Просмотров 34 тыс.4 года назад
I picked up this York 100 vise for $10. I cleaned off all the crud, grease, and dirt with some varsol. I used my die grinder and wire wheel attachment to clean off the rust and finally painted and re-greased the whole thing. I made sure to tape off the critical areas to keep them clean. The jaws were pretty gummed up with aluminum but they cleaned up very nicely as well! This vise is sure to la...
Shortening a leather belt from the other end
Просмотров 78 тыс.5 лет назад
This belt needed shortening by about 3 inches, but I didn't just cut off the end and punch new holes. Instead, I started at the buckle end and cut the stitching, skived the leather and re-stitched. I used leather chisels to create the thread holes and contact cement to hold the leather in place while stitching. The needles are very blunt-ended and are meant for leather work. The thread is waxed...
Coffee table from ONE sheet of plywood!
Просмотров 13 тыс.5 лет назад
I used Starbond superglue in this project to fill in the voids in the plywood, you can check out all of their products here: bit.ly/2WqjNOw Any purchases you make help support my channel! Thank you! This video shows how I built my own coffee table, using one single 4'x8' sheet of 1/2" plywood, and these hairpin legs ($40 for all 4 legs!): amzn.to/2wjgnON I ripped the entire sheet down into stri...
How to Make copper dog tags
Просмотров 19 тыс.5 лет назад
I used a short length of 1/2" copper pipe, hammered flat and traced out two circle roughly 1 inch in diameter. I stamped "Gary" and "124 Conch St." onto the tags, though stamping in a phone number would be just as easy. Using a length of electrical tape is very helpful to keep alignment. I cut out the tags with sheet metal snips, filed the edges smooth and gave them a light sanding. I used a sh...
How to update an old interior door
Просмотров 1,1 млн5 лет назад
In this video I use inexpensive trim to update an old door in my house. I glued and nailed each length of trim on the door to create a raised-panel appearance. Each piece of trim is mitred at 45 degrees, which can be cut very easily with hand tools if needed. The trim was bought for roughly $26 and was enough to complete one door. The door was then primed and painted before being re-hung. The p...
How to make your mouse WAY quieter!
Просмотров 270 тыс.5 лет назад
My mouse was way too loud, so I took it apart and made it quieter! The left and right buttons each have a small switch that can be accessed once you pop off the top cover. Once the switch is exposed you'll see how it works. A flexible metal strip is pushed by the mouse button and causes a contact at the other end to snap into place and complete the circuit. It's this snapping motion that create...

True Temper Axe Hanging and Restoration
Is there any problem with stiffness due to the change in dropout?
does it affect a click travel or responsivenes? I bought razer basilisk v3, which was not cheap, should i try this?
But, does it make it easier to click? I'm getting tendonitis from constant clicking.
I like this typical restoration, no paint job, left the dents and ding marks 😍 but to me it's still need works for the rust.. well done sir 👍👍👍
Using this mouse for several hours can make your fingers tired as you have to press harder than before.Later on you can adapt that but by the way it works.
The Spongebob reference is awesome lol
Fucking legend
Now how do i make mine louder?
mega giant
What is the use of this? You're weakening the original brazing, and all this heat also ruined the original steel dropouts. Other than that, the original dropouts were perfectly fine. There is absolutely no benefit from this style. And cutting off the eyelets was a bone bonehead move, too. You won't be able to install a fender ever again. What a waste.
Thank you 👍
Самое лучшее видео что я видел. Огромное спасибо Друг !!!
lovely
1:46 so satisfying
❤❤❤
Before = After! No difference!✅
If I send you my doorknobs will you make me one?
Really nice video it shows everything important, even the little things that someone who does it for the first time would not think of and any other video doesnt show these things and make it look too simple
Very good work. Plus NO BONDO !
I tried it on the Flintstones mouse (Defender Doom Fighter GM-260L), now the sound is almost gone, it's very quiet, thank you
It literally 2 am at the time of watching this
My cassette steadfastly refuses to budge no amount of effort will shift it
They can be very very tight sometimes.
Yo! what a simple hack, and it work for me thanks bro ^^
Very simple explanation, thanks.
hahahah nice reference, dope video.
Thought i fucked up my switch when the spring came off and bent a bit. Ended up working in the end. Thanks.
lovely ASMR
Wtf did I watch! I git eye strain.
Fantastic idea, think I'm going to try this. We rent so I'm after something fairly low cost that doesn't require any change to the property. Quick question though, does the loft space need to be vented to let the warm out out? I live in the UK and I'm not sure if the loft space has venting
Yes the attic will need a way to let the hot air escape, so it needs vents of some kind.
You know what... My mouse isn't that loud after all
Awesome idea. 👍🏻👍🏻
I am NOT opening my mouse at 3 am.
3:15 am here... just finished lol
Just finished doing this sh8 at 4:27am
Excellent, worked great!
When i see Kalih switches i just get a huuuge smile on my face cause those switches last 20+ years not all switches can be opened like on the Genius mice :(
are you drag-clicking with that mouse? why is it so worn out? 😅
It's a T20 to take those screws out
Gives me hope for my siezed Columbian!
Perfect! This is just what I was looking for to update my interior doors and interior french doors!
Man!that's so cool how long did it take you to make that thing seems like a lot of work
0:58 I like how when you speed up and slow down the video the background noise goes from an upper octave root, to the 5th degree, and to the lower octave root
If people don’t talk and explain what they are doing, I never watch their videos again. I’ve got antique knobs that have square shaft on them. I’m trying to figure how to mount them. You were no help at all. Goodbye.
Great video
I bet that is the rattle you hear in the gear on cold start up, that spring has lost tension and is not locking the gear like its suppose to and the gear rattles back and forth on that pin with the weak spring. Honda has the same design, on Honda I stretch that spring if it has cold start rattle and reinstall it then the the cold start rattle goes away, I bet its the same on this cam gear.
Excelente idea. Gracias!
Is it the same process for putting a new one on
OMG I was just telling my husband I want to update our 70s doors.this seems so simple. I can't wait to get started. Thank you for the video.
AMAZING!!!!!. Thank you so much.
Well done
Good video. Gets right to the point.
Thank you !😃
For anyone please. The top or bottom tr is bigger?
The trim I used is all the same size just different lengths.
